Seldom Scene Farm
Description:
Seldom Scene Farm, home to alpacas and a few llamas, is nestled along the palisades of the Kentucky River near Versailles, Frankfort, and Lexington in central Kentucky. Alpaca breeding and alpaca show stock is their specialty. They have many of the best bloodlines in the world, and are known for color diversity as well as having many elite whites originating from the Accoyo Ranch in Peru. Having raised both suri and huacaya alpacas, they now specialize exclusively in huacayas. Their Fiber and Education Studio and Shop is used for owner Lindy Huber’s fiber art and merchandise, including alpaca rovings, batts, yarns, apparel, home decor and soaps.
This handmade Alpaca Felted Shawl of “cobweb” felt is a one-of-a-kind creation made from hand-dyed silk and alpaca. Although it feels delicate, it will last a lifetime with proper treatment. Care: Just wash in warm water and mild soap, hang to dry.
