About the Artist:
“Born of a piece of fabric and a bit of imagination, cut, sewn, stuffed, assembled, dressed--a unique personality emerges, chooses her own name, and dictates the finishing touches.” --Vada Dolph
VADA DOLPH has been with Truly Bluegrass since we opened our doors in September 2008, and we have loved every minute of it. We are constantly amazed by the delightful products of her imagination she graces us with!
Vada's doll making has evolved through the years, from teddy bears to country crafts and dolls, to the artsy soft-sculptured styles. Most of these little people are the original designs of Vada Dolph, whose handiwork has brought them to life. Some have been created from patterns available from a number of talented doll artists and designers, with some patterns closely followed and many greatly modified, all providing inspiration. Vada has done many special commission dolls, including a nurse, a Naval Cadet, a gardener, several quilters, and many others. In her "spare" time, Vada enjoys reading, gardening, photography, and blogging.
Vada Dolph's dolls are available exclusively at Truly Bluegrass and trulybluegrass.com.
